STRESS MANAGEMENT

SYMPTOMS OF STRESS

According to the Mayo Clinic, stress can lead to physiological issues, including headaches, chest pain, fatigue, upset stomach, and sleep problems. It can also affect one's mood, such as feeling anxious, restless, unmotivated, unfocused, overwhelmed, irritable, or depressed. Stress can also cause over- or under-eating, alcohol or drug abuse, social withdrawal, angry outbursts, and more.

COMMON SOURCES OF STRESS

While teens are different, there are some common sources of stress among the teen population, including academics, social issues, family, world events/news, traumatic events, and significant life changes.
