Dual Enrollment/Option B Information
The DEADLINE for Dual Enrollment/Option B
Summer & Fall 2023 DE RHHS Meeting Deadline is
May 1st, 2023
Meetings are to be scheduled by the student from
January 23 thru May 1st.

Dual Enrollment Requirements
-
The student MUST have a 3.0 GPA overall (RHHS requirement) ​

STUDENT MUST be classified as a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader by credits
-
Students MUST have PSAT, SAT, ACT, or Accuplacer scores prior to applying to an institution.

11th and 12th Eligible students may take any approved Dual Enrollment courses listed in the Course Directory, at an eligible participating postsecondary institution (USG, TCSG, or private).

Eligible 10th-grade students may enroll in approved technical courses (TSG) only or may enroll in any approved courses listed at a TCSG, USG, or private eligible participating postsecondary institution if they have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or minimum ACT composite score of 26 in a single national test administration.
Option B Requirements

Student GPA of 2.6 or better.

GMAS 9th Lit Score of 525 or higher

On track to complete or has completed

The 9 Georgia DOE Required High School Courses

2 English: American Lit w/EOC and another English Course

2 Science: Biology w/EOC & another Science course

2 Math: Algebra I w/EOC & another Math course

2 Social Studies: US History w/EOC & another Social Studies course

Must be admitted to the postsecondary institution prior to the Option B Meeting
***OPTION B STUDENTS WILL GRADUATE with a HIGH
SCHOOL diploma and industry diplomas,
certifications, etc. but may not be eligible for
admission as a traditional freshman at a
4-year educational institution.
