What are the Youth Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning Programs?

For YA and WBL, the student is scheduled for part of his/her school day at a worksite
-
The student receives HS credit upon completion of the work program, just as you do for elective classes
-
Mrs. Sack, the WBL Coordinator, and the worksite supervisor monitor students at the worksite
-
The minimum hours required depends on the number of blocks the student is scheduled for WBL (see chart below)

Earn elective credit upon completion of required documented hours and class assignments
WBL Eligibility
and Requirements
-
11th and 12th Grade Students who are on track for graduation
-
Minimum of 16 years of age
-
Good attendance and discipline record
-
3 recommendations from teachers(see application)
-
Reliable transportation
-
At least 2 CTAE credits in a pathway related to your work placement, with intentions of continuing pathway

You will receive an acceptance/rejection letter, after reviewing the application and teacher recommendations.
